Regular dust removal
Compact cases can accumulate dust more quickly due to dense airflow. We recommend cleaning dust filters every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your environment. Most Fatetimes cases use magnetic or slide-out filters for easy access.
Cleaning the exterior
Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to wipe down aluminum and steel surfaces. For stubborn fingerprints, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.
Cleaning the interior
Before cleaning inside your case, power off the system and unplug the power cord. Use compressed air to blow dust out of fans, heatsinks, and corners. Hold fan blades in place while cleaning to prevent over-spinning.
Checking screws and mounts
Over time, vibration can loosen screws. Every few months, check that motherboard standoffs, GPU mounts, and storage brackets remain secure. Do not overtighten screws when reinstalling panels.
Maintaining airflow
Keep intake and exhaust vents clear of obstructions. If you notice temperatures rising over time, remove and clean dust filters, verify fan operation, and check that cables are not blocking airflow.
Finish care
Anodized aluminum and powder-coated steel finishes are durable but can scratch if handled roughly. Place the case on a soft surface when removing panels, and avoid sliding it across rough desktops.
